TABOR CITY, NC (WWAY) -- The South Columbus football team lost their first four games of the 2014 regular season. The Stallions have been able to make a tremendous turnaround though. They've won five of their last six games, including a 48-42 high scoring affair last Friday against Fairmont High School.
Kyle Hutchison is the South Columbus head football coach. This is Hutchison's first year as the South Columbus head coach. "We're a young team and when you have a young team and you try to teach them something new it's difficult and it puts them in a difficult spot," Hutchison said. "The one thing I've learned from being here is what we are, and we are a grinding team and their history was with the winged tee and what we have now is we have kids who can play power football. I've had to adapt. They've adapted to me and to things that I expect and I've adapted to them and I think any coach would do that."
